The reverse of the note depicts flowers, the Sigiriya or the Lions Rock castle ruins located in Matale District. It also displays four women picking tea leaves and two rose-ringed parakeet birds. The banknote is 144 x 72 mm in size and bears a solid security thread with printed CENTRAL BANK OF SRI LANKA RUPEES ONE HUNDRED. It also carries a watermark that reflects a lion holding a whip with an electrotype sword. The paper bill was printed by De La Rue and Company Limited.
