SpeedBox 3.1 tuning chip enables to select speed limit of your own choice. After the chip is installed, your e-bike’s display will show real data, such as maximum and average speeds, daily mileage and cruising range. How does Speedbox Work? The tuning kit manipulates the speed signal without altering the motor's power relative to pedaling speed. This guarantees a smooth motor control without speed limit interruptions. Depending on a tuning kit, some determine when assistance stops, while others remove the restriction entirely for continuous support. However, the achievable speed mostly depends on the eBike model. Achievable speed can be calculated using a simple formula: Speed = Cadence [rpm] * Wheel circumference [mm] * Front Chainring Teeth / Rear Chainring Teeth * 60 [min/h] / 1.000.000 [mm/km] The tuning kit can be activated directly on your bike’s display. After pressing the LIGHT button or ↑↓↑↓, a value of 99 km/h (62 mph) is displayed and from now on you will be able to ride at an unlimited speed. To deactivate the tuning kit, press the LIGHT button or ↑↓↑↓ again. The value of 25 km/h (16 mph) will appear on your display and the speed limit will reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work the same as before installation of the chip. You can set the maximum speed of an electric assistance by changing modes three levels down and then three levels up. An actual speed limit will be displayed after that. The maximum speed of an electric assistance can be switched by pressing LIGHT button shortly or by turning the rear wheel 360°.
