When in use, the display shows the real speed up to 25 km/h. With B.Tuning version you can see the real values in our SpeedBox App – right on the display of your phone. How does Speedbox 1.1 B.tuning work? The tuning kit manipulates the speed signal without altering the motor's power relative to pedaling speed. This guarantees a smooth motor control without speed limit interruptions. Depending on a tuning kit, some determine when assistance stops, while others remove the restriction entirely for continuous support. However, the achievable speed mostly depends on the eBike model. Achievable speed can be calculated using a simple formula: Speed = Cadence [rpm] * Wheel circumference [mm] * Front Chainring Teeth / Rear Chainring Teeth * 60 [min/h] / 1.000.000 [mm/km] Activate/deactivate the tuning before the ride (when the e-bike is standing still), not during riding! Activation: one short press of WALK button or + - + - or - + - + (sequence requires to press it all quickly) Indication: 3.5 kph (2.2 mph) on your display = SpeedBox activated After the activation you will be able to ride up to 35 km/h (22mph). You may change the default speed limit to any limit you want (up to 99 kph), however, to minimize the risk of error codes, we recommend not to exceed 35 km/h. Display shows: real values are not displayed. If You want to see all values correctly up to the top and in MPH - You need SpeedBox App for that. The "countdown" process will continue concealed during charging, therefore, if you charge your e-bike with a connected battery, you can ignore the following instructions. If you need to remove the battery from your e-bike in order to charge it, you need to wait for the SpeedBox to carry out the "countdown" process after the ride. When you stop your e-bike, the ongoing "countdown" process will be indicated by the increasing riding time. Once the "countdown" process is completed, the riding time stops and the e-bike display shows the correct distance travelled. The countdown process can be interrupted by turning off the ebike or by setting off, so it does not restrict the use of your e-bike in any way.
