The hinge closure works perfectly. There are brass star pieces around the rim of the lid. Three of these are missing. I did not notice this until just now. These missing pieces do not really detract from the appearance of the bag, but they are definitely a flaw. Play see last photograph. Also, please pay close attention to the class on the back. This is a handmade item and the clasp on the back has an irregularity in the lower left corner. This is not a defect from use and it is not glued or damage. It appears to be a regularity from the handmade process.
