Description: This is a Soviet USSR Meteorological Weather probe radio sonde which was found 20-30 years ago. Meteorological probes are launched to measure pressure, temperature, humidity and wind speed and direction in the free atmosphere. A hydrogen-filled balloon carries the weather probe to an altitude of about 30 km and all data are immediately transmitted via radio link to the main station. At an altitude of about 30 km, the balloon bursts and the probe falls back to earth. Usually the radiosondes are intended for one-time use. H 22cm,W 12cm, D 6cm, weight 211 grams
