Description: I am pleased to offer this authentic Soviet Army officers sheep fur grey ushanka! Although made right after the collapse of the USSR in 1992, this is the exact same model worn throughout the Soviet Army (Soviet uniforms were manufactured through 1992). This ushanka is made out of very soft sheep fur, it has an enlisted cockade, denoting this was for a "Kursant", or officer cadet. Made at the Kharkov hat factory in 1992, right after the collapse of the USSR. It is new without tags. You could also swap the cockade out for an officers oval one too (this is what the Kursant would have done upon graduation as well). Though marked size 56, it's true size is a 55. I wear a 56 and it's tight on my head. In US size this would be a 6 7/8. So it is for a small head.
