Description: The unit played back with good video quality and audio using a commercial tape. Maybe some slight static but hard to tell. Tested both composite and S-Video output. I did clean the heads using two different methods. I have not tested the fine functions like the editing and others. I've been told this unit can get very hot when used for multiple hours and then it starts to be behave weird and can squeak. Apparently the recording feature has some issues. If you rewind tapes fully (which you really shouldn't in any VCR!) it can chew a tape. I have not verified the "issues" above thus unit is sold AS-IS with no returns. You can avoid all the issues above really easily though. A Sony remote is included but isn't the specific one for this model so only a few of the buttons control the unit. I think if you're looking a good unit for occasional playback this will suffice but I do not want to overstate its performance. If you have any issues those are your own to handle. I have priced this to be a good deal compared to the super nice refurb units. OPEN TO OFFERS!
