Description: The SNES to DB15 Controller Adapter adapts Super Nintendo controllers to the DB15 controller format used by the NEO-GEO AES*, MVS, and popular superguns like the HAS (Home Arcade System) and Minigun Supergun. * The Neo Geo AES controller ports are not standard DB15 and are set deeper into the console than a normal DB15 port. In order for this adapter to work with the AES you need to use an extension cable. Features: Full user customizable button mapping. Buttons 1-6 and coin can be remapped to any of the face and shoulder buttons. This also allows for mapping duplicates of the same button.Auto fire with 6 speed options from 30hz down to 6hzStatus LED to help navigate button remapping and auto fire configuration modes. All settings save in the internal EEPROM of the micro-controller so they persist after power cycling the adapter. Button Remapping and Autofire instructions for all adapters. To enter button remapping mode hold any 2 face buttons and START simultaneously for 3 seconds. Once in remapping mode press each button the corresponding number of times to achieve the desired output based on the list below.Button 1 = 1 pressButton 2 = 2 pressesButton 3 = 3 pressesButton 4 = 4 pressesButton 5 = 5 pressesButton 6 = 6 pressesStart = 7 pressesCoin = 8 pressesN/A = 9 presses Press Start to exit remapping mode. To enter auto fire programming mode hold any 1 face button and START simultaneously for 3 seconds. Once in auto fire programming mode press each button that you want to set as auto fire the number of times that corresponds to the desired speed in the list below.~30hz = 1 press~20hz = 2 presses~15hz = 3 presses~12hz = 4 presses~7.5hz = 5 presses~6hz = 6 pressesN/A = 7 presses Press Start to exit auto fire mode. HAS Mode: The button mapping modes are controlled using the same combinations as the HAS supergun. This was done to make these adapters convenient for people familiar with the HAS system to use, but if you are using one of these adapters with a HAS supergun, you will find that the button mapping modes conflict with one another. As a workaround I have added a way to disable button remapping and auto fire. To enable/disable HAS mode, simply hold the A button while powering the adapter on. When you disable button remapping and auto fire the LED will light up solid for a second and then shut off. When you enable button remapping and auto fire the LED will flash rapidly for a second then shut off. You can toggle between each mode at any time. The mode settings are saved in the EEPROM and will persist after a power cycle. Brook Fix: Brook Retro Boards have a bug in the SNES mode that causes occasional dropped inputs. As a workaround I have added the "Brook Fix". When the Brook Fix is enabled, every time a button is released the code waits one extra cycle to make sure the button is actually released before setting the button as released on the output. The resulting fix stops random button releases, but comes with the penalty of adding 16ms of lag on button releases. Button presses are not affected by this lag.To turn the Brook Fix on press and hold any 5 buttons (excluding select and d-pad) + START for 3 seconds. To turn the Brook Fix off press and hold any 6 buttons (excluding select and d-pad) + START for 3 seconds.' The setting persists through power cycles so you don't have to enable/disable it every time you use the adapter. Housing Options: The housing is 3D printed in PLA.
