But, there is an ankle high plant that has leaves exactly like larger sparkleberries, but grows HUGE, juicy berries. I wonder why the berries from the 'Baby Sparkleberries' are much larger and taste much sweeter than the Sparkelberry trees? Well, its been 3 years and our 'Baby Sparkleberries' are only ankle high! We collected all of the berries we could find during the summer of 2021 and processed them for seed. We have no clue what it is called, but we eat the berries all of the time. Of all of the native berries (Sparkleberry, Deerberry, Service Berry, Beauty Berry) this little mystery berry is by far our favorite! The 'Mystery Berry' has been solved!!
