Description: Super rare LHW fly reel by Hodge & Sons, Grant´s pass Oregon. Siskiyou Design. Super smooth Double disc brake, size 6/7. I have landed numerous Atlantic salmons with this reel, fighting a fish with this reel is a joy. S/N 0069, which is nice. The Double-Disc line of reels was designed to put the brakes on a variety of big fish, from PNW steelhead to bluewater species. Precision machined using anodized aluminum, a strong cork drag and nickel silver accents. The design is elegant and simple, with easy drag adjustment and very simple spool removal. The reel features a palming rim and the clicker can be toggled off/on. The founder of Siskiyou Design, R.B. Hodge, was a cousin of Tom Morgan and Siskiyou Design made a limited series of Winston branded reels while Tom was still at the helm. Their reels are held in high regard and are not often seen on the secondary market. Comes with original neoprene pouch and 20 lb backing. Will ship abroad, insured. Cost depends of destination.
