You can smell the chocolate through the wrapper but eat at your own risk. These were made in 1991 for the troops of Desert Storm/Desert Shield so they could have a chocolate treat from home that wouldn't melt. I personally loved them but others did not so they were only made for a limited time. I ship the bar in bubble wrap in a bubble envelope to get it to you in one piece.
