Best of all, this book is SIGNED in two places! First, on the front dust jacket (along with the date 06), using a gold pen. Also, inside on the title page, his signature again appears in gold. Hardbound book measures 13.5” x 10”. From his bio page, we learn that “Christian Riese Lassen is Hawaii’s premier marine artist. Using acrylics, enamels and oils, Lassen’s paintings depict a vibrant, idealized vision of the natural world. In his childhood, Lassen’s family moved to the Hawaiian island of Maui where he was first captivated by the ocean. Since then, it has always been a significant part of his life, inspiring him to become both a world-class surfer and a leading environmental artist of international popularity.” Condition: Very Good. Binding is tight, pages are bright. No writing inside that I can see, other than the artist’s signature on the front and on the title page. There is a small smudge on the title page where the signature is located. Some light handling is apparent on the high gloss covers. Book corners are nice. This is a very nice copy. Hardly touched. It presents beautifully. This book is not an ex-library book. I am not a book exchange company or Goodwill, where books are played out or pretty much ‘well fingered’ and obviously handled a lot. I mail items surrounded by cardboard, unlike some sellers that drop it in a thin plastic bag and call it good. I want it to arrive in the same condition you see in the photos.
