Instead of representing animals imaginatively, as had so often been done before him, he studied them from nature, and made them alive and real, as he saw them. In his "Walking Tiger" the play of the muscles, the folds of the skin, the palpitation of the flanks, the threat of the mouth, the vigor and the elasticity of the gait, everything gives us the striking impression of the wild beast.Dimensions: 24.3 x 5.9cm x 13.5cm.
