San Francisco Sterling Silver 7" Candy Bowl SHIPS FREE (#900-542) Click images to enlarge Description Offered is beautiful Sterling Silver candy/nut dish made by Shreve & Company of San Francisco. This Art Nouveau style dish has a very stylish five pedal flower design around the rim. There appears to be 12 groups of three flowers for a total of 36 flowers. This six-sided dish was likely made in the early 20th century. Shreve & Co. began in 1852 and was an important California silversmithing firm. It is still in operation today. They are known for their unique designs and high-quality craftsmanship. This dish is monogrammed with a cursive “S” in the center of the bottom of the bowl. It is hallmarked “Shreve & Co San Francisco Sterling” on the bottom. Etched above the Shreve hallmark are the numbers “910”. To the lower right of the hallmark appears to be “S0”. Dimension/size – this dish/bowl is about 7 ¼” in diameter and it stands about 1 ¼” high. The six-sided base is about 3 ¼” across. It weighs 150 grams. Condition – as you can see in the photos, this piece has not been polished and has some expected tarnish and wear. It should polish nicely. FREE SHIPPING OF OUR CHOICE TO THE LOWER US 48 STATES!!!
