Description: Brossom U.S.A. ship's quartz brass clock runs on (1) AA battery (battery not included). Wheel is wood, not plastic. Purchased at gift shop on the Galveston, Texas Seawall in 1987. Label says it was made in Taiwan Republic of China. Keeps excellent time and battery life is long. There is one blemish at the 10 o'clock position on the wood wheel that measures one-quarter-inch by one-quarter-inch. Someone, I assume my dad, attempted to stain over the mark. The repair could be better, but even as it is, it is hardly visible when standing a few feet back from the clock. Please keep in mind where you will hang the clock, it is heavy at 11-pounds. The nail/hanger needs to be securely anchored in a wall stud. It's a beautiful piece of nautical-style decor.
