Description: NOS New Old Stock with original tags, Shadowline peignoir set includes Jadestone Teal nightgown and matching robe with V necklines and lace and applique details with original sales stickers from vintage 90s in a forgiving fit with bust to 38 inches, with best fit small to medium today. This set includes a sleeveless night gown with full lace straps with V neckline and lower back with a matching peignoir robe that has dropped dolman style short sleeves a V neckline, lovely open lace detail with a figure forgiving fit and self tie front. This is in new old stock condition (NOS) with original sales tags. This was a sales sample and has never been worn (other than the model to try on for this shoot). The back of the tags shows this was from the 1994 line and the color they called this was Jadestone, which is a deep teal or turquoise color. The robe retailed for $28 in 1994 and the suggested retail for the long night gown was $24. So this set would have retailed for $52 in 1994 (26 years ago). The minimum wage in 1994 was $4.25 per hour, so this set would have taken 12 working hours to pay for this set - this is the equivalent of over $120 today! The robe is style #72523 and the night gown is model #34523. These were made in the USA in Morganton, North Carolina. The peignoir robe has a V neckline and dropped raglan sleeves, with no shoulder and an easy fit armhole. There is 2 inches of jadestone lace at the robe front and the sleeve ends of the robe. This has one tie inside at waist area to keep this robe secure when closed. There are two belt loops on either side of the robe and a self tie belt at the front. The gown has V neckline with the same beautiful lace and open lace detail at the bodice, under the arms and around to the back. The straps area also lace. Both of these pieces have the black and white Shadowline tag inside and show All Nylon. The fabric tags shows these can be machine washed and dried. These also have the saleman's tags or inventory tags on these from 1994. Also shows made in the USA. This also has a tag that shows this set is made of : Satin Lustre, Shadowline's luxurious fabric of 100% nylon designed for bright lustre and pearlized glow with the touch and shimmer of the finest satin. This shows size small but could also fit a medium, as these are very generous sizing, so see measurements below to see if this might fit you. It the bust on the night gown fits you - this entire set should work as the armholes, waist and hips are very generous sizing. This item would have been taken to a store to get orders for this set. The pieces have the original sales tags and show the colors, sizes and wholesale and retail prices. Quite a piece of lingerie history! I love the deep turquoise or Jadestone color of this which is like a deep teal color. The lovely wide lace and applique detail make this a beautiful feminine set.
