Russell Tackle has been handcrafting Shad Darts since 1961. Long ago I became fed up with the poor quality of Darts and color options that were available in tackle stores. The use of inferior metals or cheap paints or enamels was so common that I started making my own using only the highest quality materials in the colors I know are the most effective at inducing a strike. I use a strong and extremely durable combination of Powder Coat and Vinyl painton every Dart. Every Dart goes through an 8 point inspection to guarantee my highest standards. The colors and combinations I use are time tested and proven to be the most successful for inducing a strike. My Boys have caught Shad, Trout, Walleye, Bass, Crappie, Pike, Muskie, Salmon, Steelhead, Perch, Carp, Fluke, Stripers, Bluefish, and Weakfish on these Darts. It amazes me how versatile these Jigs can be and I enjoy hearing from Friends who use them all over North America. Ideal for Ice Fishing enthusiasts too! Don't see a color combo that works for you? I will gladly custom color the paint or bucktails for you at no additional charge. I can usually accommodate most requests!! The eye holes are clear on my Darts...unlike those that are repeatedly dipped in fluid paints. Extra care is taken to keep the powder coat out of the eyelet. I use quality Eagle Claw and Mustad hooks. The trailers are 100% Bucktail and are whip-tied and glued for a secure fit. NOTE: Due to recent supply chain issues, I occasionally substitute the Bucktail with an alternate material. I am a fishing fanatic and understand the value of using the best equipment possible.
