The name of Godiva was chosen to honor Lady Godiva, the noblewoman best known for riding throughout the streets naked on a horse. Apparently, Godiva rode her horse through the town naked to convince her husband to lower taxes. The Godiva Chocolate logo is also based on this iconic figure and has always featured a woman with flowing hair on the back of a stallion. They are white and gold. They were made in China by Modern Gourmet Foods. I bought these brand new about 10 years ago. These are from my own home. I'm downsizing since I am getting up there in my years. Time for another family to enjoy them now. They each measure 4 1/4" tall, 3 3/4" in diameter, and weight 11.3 oz. They are in perfect condition. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or discoloration. Please look very carefully at all pictures as it depicts the entire item with full details, and it is part of the description. This would make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection, it is truly a beautiful set to own, display and/or use. The colors are bright and unfaded, and the finish is nice and shiny.
