Description: Welcome back to the life of the church, the Episcopal Church, in 1938 and 1935. These two small pocket sized paperbacks each with over 100 pages, evidently came from a series by the bishop of Eau Claire, the Right Reverend Frank E Wilson. They seem to be introductory pamphlets to help either young people or new members joining the church. At this point, they provide an interesting snapshot of American protestant thought in the 1930s. Each volume is paperback and show signs of aging and wear, but otherwise in good shape with no writing inside. A couple of the pamphlets are marked with a stamp for Saint Matthews Church, and also have dedication plates fixed inside the front cover showing that they had been donated to the perish library in 1962. I am a retired priest, and I am looking for a good home for many of the things I have collected over the years. These vintage pamphlets provide an interesting way of looking at church history, and the history of protestant thought.
