Description: This is "Selected Studies for Flute" compiled and edited by H. Voxman. It is part of the Rubank Educational Library No. 140. It is published by Rubank of Miami. There are 26 etudes of one or two pages in keys ranging from C major to F# and Gb major with etudes in the related minor keys. There are three works in Special Studies: Double Tonguing and "The Wind" by Kohler and "Capricio in D Major" by Karg Elert. Lastly, the final 9-10 pages have scales, scales in thirds and arpeggios. The soft-cover book measures about 11 3/4 by 8 3/4 inches and there are 76 pages. The cover is a heavy stock paper in green and brick red. The collection has works by a variety of composers and in a variety of musical styles. This item is in Very Good condition. It has been stored with care in a music cabinet away from sunlight and in a smoke-free, pet-free home. The cover looks good; the color is true and unmarred, Outside corners and the upper and lower points of the spine fold are minutely bumped. The cover edges have slight imperfection in a couple of places, otherwise most of the edges are crisp. The stapled binding is snug. The spine has 3 staples and is in good condition. The music is in "like new" condition and is free of markings, tears, or creases. I think this music was purchased to have on hand for a student's needs, but was never actually used beyond careful storage for the future.
