Description: Seiko World Timer from 1973 is rare and desirable. It is in very good condition. It features a world time inner bezel that can be rotated by turning the crown. It also features hacking (stopping the watch when setting the time) allowing for synchronized setting. All functions work perfectly. The case has been lightly re-finished and presents beautifully. The strap is new, quality, genuine leather. The 6117 movement is a variation on the 6119 which is, in my opinion, Seiko's best ever movement. It features hacking and a 24 hour hand. It is pristine with no corrosion. It has just been professionally overhauled/serviced functions perfectly and is guaranteed. This reading was taken on the bench after the movement was overhauled. Results will vary in the real world because accuracy depends on several variable factors, mainly temperature, power on the mainspring and general conditions of use. Overhaul/Service Explained I am often asked about what an overhaul entails. So I have started adding a photo of the movement, disassembled ready to go through the cleaning machine. All old dried up lubricants, crud and anything else that shouldn't be there is cleaned away. Then, the movement is reassembled, lubricated, adjustments made and regulated. Routinely, the back and the crown seals are replaced (where possible) as are the spring lugs. The case is lightly re-finished if necessary. Also the glass is re-polished if required and possible.
