Seiko SBDX017 MM300 Marine Master 300m (2016) Full Kit w/Box + Papers

Description: Good day, fellow Seiko lovers. I treated myself with this iconic piece from Seiya in Japan as a pre-retirement gift in December of 2016. Then when Seiko discontinued it shortly after I retired, I thought, “man, I have unwittingly nailed this. Watch will do nothing but appreciate and I get to enjoy all of its many attributes as it does.” And enjoy it, I have…..but what I’ve learned in this next chapter of my life is that I simply no longer wear it….this is a watch that yearns to be worn…..you’ll see. By way of history, I never babied this thing. Wore it at range qualifications, golfing, changing the oil, hooking up the winch (note the “Nike swoosh” in the Hardlex at 6 o’clock), you name it......it’s a divers’ watch in every sense of that phrase and it’s never hiccuped throughout my time of use. Alas, that time has come to send it on to another owner…..I just got it back from Seiko USA after a full movement inspection/cleaning (it’s now 8 years old) and it’s keeping -3/sec a day on the wrist…..the 8L35 internals are a miraculous marvel….BTW, I thought to have the crystal replaced while it was there, but decided to leave that character in place for the next owner…...So many treat these pieces like low mileage collector ZR-1 Corvettes rather than actually “drive” them….I choose to use my stuff and I swear it’s more accurate now than ever….kudos to Seiko USA… So if you want a watch that’s traveled the world, whether taking a dip in the winter river run-off of the Bavarian Alps, or watching the sunsets in Manila and San Juan, this is your companion…..
