Description: Scratch built, museum quality, cutaway model of a Cape Cod Catboat of the early 1900’s. The hull and cockpit is a combination of basswood, maple, and plastic while the mast, boom, gaff, and blocks are dogwood. Cleats are boxwood. Ironwork and bronze fittings such as rings, shackles, and the steering wheel are made of brass, copper, and aluminum. All components are painted with brush and airbrush using matte Tamiya acrylic paints. Acrylic display case with walnut base is included. Display base is dogwood and brass. The model is 12” long and 17” tall. The acrylic case is 18” long, 8” wide, and 20” tall. Local pickup or specifically arranged courier is strongly recommended.
