The body on this C1 is Mahogany, which when heard in conjunction with its stunning quilted Maple top, delivers warm, cutting, harmonically rich tones ready to take on rock, metal, indie, alternative, or whatever style of guitar-based music you fancy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and with the natural body binding around that stunning flame Maple top, Schecter has gone out of its way to make sure everyone who beholds it can agree on the beauty of this bad boy. We sure hope you like singing sustain, because the C1 Classic delivers it, thanks to it's neck-thru body construction and string-thru-body tail piece with Tone Pros bridge. That neck, by the by, is Maple, with a big ole' slab of Rosewood for a fretboard to round out your sounds and 24 jumbo frets that really make you want to dig in and bend, bend, bend. The 25-1/2 inch scale will be at once familiar and exciting, not to mention super smooth thanks to the cream neck binding, and is guaranteed to stay wonderfully in tune thanks to its 3-to-a-side chrome Grover tuners. If ever there was an Indiana Jones movie centered around searching for the Holy Grail of Pickups, a set of Seymour Duncans with a JB in the bridge and a '59 in the neck might just be what that snake-fearing adventurist seeks. The C1 Classic features what they call the Vine of Life inlay, and you'll understand why when you see it run from fret 1 all the way down to fret 24. This level of utterly breathtaking inlay work is generally reserved for the most expensive custom one-off boutique instruments, but like the Seymour Duncan pickups and flame Maple top, the Schecter C1 Classic gives them to you in an affordable, attractive package ready to hit any stage or studio.
