These unique pieces, guaranteed even against aesthetic imperfections, represent the very best that Savinelli has to offer. Autograph pipes are categorized into different groups based on their beauty and quality. The most prestigious groups are 000, 00, 0, in descending order of significance, followed by 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, culminating in partially or fully sandblasted Autographs. This autograph features sublime sandblasting, a rustic top, a sterling silver band, and a 9mm acrylic stem. Heritage Pipe Shopspecializes in "pipes with a past." Every pipe has lived a unique life and has a story to tell. The wear a pipe has gained in its life is apatina, a story, its own personal history. Therefore, we do not try to return it to "like new" condition. When you buy a pipe from us, you can expect a "refreshed" pipe: The pipe has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, ready to smoke out of the box. The bowl has been reamed, but we leave enough cake so that you do not need to break it in again. Stems have been cleaned and sanitized, and vulcanite stems have been de-oxidized and polished. Stems may have some teeth marks. When needed, stems are replaced (this will be noted in the description). Any repairs made will be noted in the description and/or title. The bowl has been cleaned of previous smoking ("ghosting") using the time-tested saltand alcohol method. Briar pipes have the char removed from the rim (as possible), and the outside of the pipe has been cleaned, treated with a restoration balm, and buffed with carnauba wax.
