Description: Russian folk songs and dances Boris Feoktistov balalaika LP USSR IMPORT Vinyl. Upon request by buyer and written authorization by seller Same day or next day shipping. Will throw in a free record to the buyer per the American Christmas tradition of gifting upon purchasing Russian folk songs and dances. Requests considered only. Boris Feoktistov is a master of a Russian instrument called a balalaika which sounds like an acoustic guitar playing the higher notes and definitely has American folk overtones as well as Turkish musical remnants. I believe it was used by David Lindley in the 60s psychedelic band kaleidoscope! The balalaika is truly is a marvelous instrument and Boris makes it sound easy. There is quite a sophisticated instrumental ensemble accompanying him I'm not so sure about the record label itself as there are letters that are not available on this computer that are Russian included in the name of the record label. The condition of the LP is VG+ as there are a few light quiet pops but no scuffs or skips and at times some surface noise but the quiet passages for the most part are very quiet. The vinyl itself is relatively heavy and of outstanding quality. This LP was bought in 1971 but I am not certain as to when it was manufactured . This is the only copy of this lp that I have been able to find on the Internet at this time. A copy of this vinyl record sold for over $100 on a competitors website. The outer sleeve is in very good plus condition. There are some scratches and the beginning of ring wear on both the front and back cover. Also , there is writing with red ink on the back cover. The remains of a price tag is on the lower right hand corner of the back cover. Also on the back cover, the upper left corner appears to have a ding . The inlay or inner sleeve is generic white and is included. However, The seller will provide a brand new mobile fidelity archival , anti-static acid free inner sleeve and a clear plastic outer sleeve that is sealable in order to protect the integrity of the very interesting artwork on the front cover. For the best protection of vinyl records in the shipping process Seller utilizes a brand new pizza box to ensure that vinyl arrives from my home to yours without being touched. Shipped to buyers with positive feedback. Tracking information provided. Thank you for viewing my listing. 12/26
