Description: This listing is for this set of 10 vintage traditional Russian Nesting Matryoshka Dolls showing Fairy Tale Scenes. - 10 Piece Set.This set is gorgeous and in excellent new condition although this set was purchased in the 1990s. It is not signed. There is no indication of a signature or any markings. It was purchased on a friend's travels decades ago - The friend went to Siberia and Alaska but I do not know where he purchased this set. The wood is all clean and there are no cracks, no damage. I see normal rough wood inside the largest doll on the inside, but I feel that is part of the crafting process of cutting and shaping and rounding out the wood (shown in the last photo).The tallest doll measures: 10-1/8"The smallest doll measures: 1/2" There are a total of 10 dolls.Please see all the photos and the video, these are the dolls you will receive. The video shows some of the detailed workmanship of the paintings. The scenes depicted on the dolls apparently relate to a famous Russian Fairy Tale.
