The central theme focuses on the Dogon people (Mali / Burkina Faso) and their incredible cosmogony. The booklet takes up and deepens the scientific researches of the last 36 years on the mysteries of the Dogonian belief through texts, paintings and artistic assemblages by Adi Newton, while the album is a visionary mixture of sound strokes composed of sub-Saharan polyrhythms, ambient astral and deterritorialized space-jazz, accompanied by Adi Newton's nervous trumpet directly taken from Digitaria's ambisonic recordings. AMMA carves out a very important space among the Newtonian discography being its most explicitly pictorial and mysterious album. AMMA has 7 original audio tracks and plays for a total of 67:20. Six tracks are unreleased while the seventh, Spiritual Psychosynthesis, is a more extended, desert and enigmatic version of the song already present in the Matar / TAG Flexi Disc.
