Description: This is a vintage real photo postcard (RPPC), unposted, and featuring a view of the burial room at the Chucalissa Indian Village Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1938, workers discovered the remains of a Native American Village in Memphis near the Mississippi while building a park. A museum opened on the site and is now known as the C.H. Nash Chucalissa Indian Village Museum. Until the late 1990s, visitors could view the site's burial excavation area, seen in this postcard. It has since been covered over and exhibit structures taken down. Postcard circa 1960s. Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases, stains and bent corners.
