The 1927 Convention was an international American-Franco event, held just 10 years after American soldiers arrived in Paris during World War I. Veterans from the Indiana delegation is shown in the photograph marching as former soldiers parade down the Avenue des Champs Elysees with the Arc de Triumphe visible in the background. French citizens line the sidewalk cheering. Yvon is the pseudonym for the French photographer Jean Pierre Yves-Petit who documented the event.
