Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Royal Crown Derby RCD139 Set of Three (3) Imperfect Pieces. The set of imperfect pieces is part of a much larger set currently up for sale, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The following pieces are included in the listing: 2 Dinner Plates – 10.25” in diameter (One plate has a brown crack (repaired by staples on the back) running down the center of the plate extending from nearly one end of the plate to the other in addition to some excessive wear of the gold pattern, rim, and verge. The other plate has some excessive wear of the gold pattern, trim, and verge. Both of these imperfections can be seen in the photos.) 1 Rim Soup Bowl – 9.0” in diameter (The bowl has two separate, small chips on the rim of the bowl. Both chips are approximately 0.25” in length and are highlighted in the photos.) All pieces in the set are marked with the following backstamp: “Royal Crown Derby, England, Shreve Crump & Low Co, Boston” in addition to a series of numbers and letters signifying the date of manufacture. All pieces are of a white/ivory base with a navy band and an intricate gold pattern, in addition to a gold rim and verge. The pattern has been discontinued and a date of manufacture is not known. Condition: In addition to the imperfections mentioned above, the pieces are in relatively good condition for their age; however, they do show some light wear along the gold rim, verge, and pattern as highlighted in the photos. The pieces may additionally show light utensil scratches or other signs of holiday use, or light marks from cleaning or storage; however, I do not feel that the condition of the bowls have been severely compromised due to these issues.
