Description: Here's a lovely oval serving platter by Rosenthal of Germany. Rosenthal produced the "lotus" body with several decorations. This particular pattern is called "Platinum Band". It was produced from 1970 to 1992. The era surprised me as I would consider this very "mid-century" in style. Embossed lotus petals surround a pure white body with platinum trim. The spherical shape of the serving pieces and the space age "knobs" are quite unusual. I believe this piece is from a set that was only displayed. I'd rate it as mint. It measures approximately 13 1/4" long and 8" wide at the rim. Please feel free to email with any questions prior to bidding or buying.
