In 350 AD Magnentius rebelled in Gaul. Constantius II amassed an army of 60,000 to deal with him. Needing a representative in the East, Constantius II summoned his cousin Gallus to Sirmium, elevating him to the rank of Caesar in 351 AD, and giving him the command of the Eastern Provinces while Constantius II was in the West. During his reign, Gallus was a cruel tyrant, and Constantius II recalled him to Milano in 354 AD, luring him with the promise to promoting him to the rank of Augustus. Gallus was arrested and executed before he reached Italy. Your coin will be shipped as soon as payment is received. If you have any questions let me know before you bid. Shipping in the US is $5.
