Description: Robert Taylor's timeless lithograph of the mighty Avro Lancaster R5868, call sign S for Sugar, returning with fellow squadron mates of 467 Squadron on April 27th, 1944 from her 95th sortie- a raid on the ball-bearing factory at Schweinfurt. By war's end the famous bomber, S for Sugar completed 137 missions over enemy territory. She has been magnificently restored and now resides in the RAF Museum at Hendon. The lithograph is signed by Robert Taylor and 4 pilots that flew Lancasters with the RAF during WWII : Marshal of the RAF Sir Michael Beetham GCB,CBE,DFC,AFC, FRAeS, Squadron Leader Tony Iveson DFC,AE, Flt. Lieutenant Harry Hughes DFC,DFM,AE, and Flt. Lieutenant John Petrie-Andrews DFC,DFM The lithograph is accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity and the brochure describing the artwork. The lithograph has been stored flat in archival materials and not exposed to light. The lithograph is undamaged and in excellent condition. The lithograph will be shipped in a heavy gauge/large diameter artwork shipping tube and will be rolled in Mylar film to protect them from any water damage
