Goldmine Record Grading Guide for Discs MINT: Usually reserved for sealed LPs or unplayed stock, flawless.NM (Near Mint): Like new, should have no audible or visual imperfections.EX or VG++ (Excellent): Visual imperfections like surface scuffs (but not scratches) from the inner sleeve will be present, but should still play like new.VG+ (Very Good Plus): Light marks will be present. Average condition, used but not abused; should play well with little to no noise.VG (Very Good): Marks, light groove wear, light scratches may all be present. Surface noise (minor crackle or a slight hiss) may be present but should not be distracting or overpower the music.VG- (Very Good Minus): Significant marking, scratches, groove wear will be present, as will crackle and pops. Will play through but expect it to have some noise.G (Good): Heavy wear, dull surface, as many scratches as grooves, very noisy. Has to be exceptionally rare to be offered in this condition.
