Description: This is a rare October 1972 playbill from the four-week, National Tour engagement of the GARY GELD, PETER UDELL, OSSIE DAVIS and PHILIP ROSE musical comedy "PURLIE" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The Original Broadway production opened March 15th, 1970 at the Broadway Theatre in New York City and ran for 688 performances while simultaneously playing on the road. This tour opened November 20th, 1971 at the Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia and closed December 2nd, 1972 at the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore.) .....
