Ready to hang and enjoy The solid brass socket cover / shade holder has a lovely vintage patina, and it has been complemented by a newer ceiling canopy in an antique brass finish at some point in its history. :) The chain is solid brass, which is a special feature! A gorgeous, eye-catching original piece of lighting. No chips or cracks in the glass or the brass. The cased glass shade (2 layers of glass) has some tiny rubs and marks here and there, none of which are noticeable when in use and lit. The brass plated canopy has some wear to the finish here and there, but this isn't noticed when installed (see closeups). Use one standard-base light bulb up to 100 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. Light bulb and ceiling mount screws not included.
