Description: I have for sale a medal from Revere, Massachusetts that commemorates their 100th year of becoming Revere, Massachusetts. Revere was founded in 1846 as North Chelsea and in 1871 it was renamed Revere after revolutionary war patriot Paul Revere. In 1915 it was incorporated as a city. The medal looks to be bronze, it is 1 1/2 inch in diameter and its in uncirculated condition. The medal obverse at the rim reads REVERE, MASSACHUSETTS - CENTENNIAL 1871-1971. In the center it has the bust of PAUL REVERE with his name below. The reverse shows the seal of the city of Revere. This medal has a die break in the lower left of the reverse, see photos.
