Description: For Immediate Sale: Ernie Ball Music Man chassis strap replacements!!! 4 1/4" hole spacing! (Pair) Both the steel, and the plating went up by a crazy amount, but I only raised the price 2 dollars. Not made in over 37 years, In a bold move, (some might say, not financially smart) and over quite some time, I was able to find a USA tool and die plant who would work with me in reproducing this long lost part. I had these made from 16ga. steel, had them stamped, and then had local plating company nickel plate them. They are proudly made in the USA! These are for the LARGE Music Man Amplifier Heads, and Combos. They do not fit the little ones. RD10's RD 50's. Those are like 3.5" long! Measure your strap before you purchase, this are exactly 5" long, with holes placed 4 1/4" apart, recessed to fit a #10-32 Oval head screw. Which no one makes! Use your old screws. I'm not in the metal business, or the amp business, or any damned business! I made these for my two amps which looked shitty because of these rusted cheap parts. If you don't know anything about metal stamping, let's just say it's not cheap. It's not like some 3d printer crap you can make at home. I was quoted 16K to 20K to tool these up to stamp. um, no. I was able to find a company down south who figured out a way to stamp and produce them for less, by doing more hand processes, making the tooling cost less, but the part price more. I drew a set of mechanical plans for them on a blank sheet of paper, and very carefully measured the existing part. The metal shop did a fantastic job on these, they are not as smooth as the originals but I think you will be very happy with your purchase! (cause they are not rusty looking) I bit the bullet, shelled out the cash, made a few sets for me, and a very limited amount of sets to sell. Should I be inundated with worldwide sales, (from a single part of a 40 year old amplifier) haha! I could probably have more stamped. I just hope I can get rid of the few I made. And I did!!! These are stronger than original, at twice the thickness, and are are nickel plated. Yes, you can re-plate your existing hardware, but from what I learned, is that by me, plating shops have minimum orders. starting around here around 170 bucks. Thanks so much guys for your kind words!! "Item is long unavailable and these are PERFECT!! Nice Job!" "WOW! THANK YOU! YOU DA MAN! I should buy more, but I won’t. GREAT RARE STRAPS!" "There isn’t a better seller on here. Communication deserves 10 stars!" "Great Service Great Product" These Straps Measure 5" long! Not 5" hole to hole like fender, or 4" long, not 4" hole to hole. Being 5 inches long, the holes on these are exactly 4 1/4" (4.25") on center. Who knows why the gentlemen at Music Man thought would be cute, and different than Leo Fender's stuff. Probably something to do with his non-complete clause when he sold to CBS! The width of this replacement part is 3/4" (.75") and the holes are punched for a 10-32 oval head screw. (not included) I had these made from 16ga steel, cut, pressed, and freshly nickel plated. (the platers swear that this plating will not go to shit like the OEM part did. If you are restoring amps, or building amps on these chassis, the corners are readily available online as Ernie Ball Model 6106. Handles can also be replaced easily, Fender 099-0948-000 Pure Vintage Standard Amp Handle (2-Screw Mount) nobody makes these rare chassis straps. (you know that) This auction is for a PAIR (2) of new replacement 4 1/4" hole spacing chassis straps that will fit large chassis vintage Music Man amplifiers. (I am not affiliated in any way with the Ernie Ball, or the company that produced these 36 years ago!) I have seen searches for these online, going back to 2003, and have not seen one listed for sale! Not even an E-bay completed listing. I went through a lot of trouble getting this done because it was making my beautiful freshly restored amplifiers look old and shabby. Now they look fresh as a daisy! shiny too! This listing is for a pair (2) chassis straps. I didn't make many because I really don't think there will be much market, but I'm gonna place this link everywhere I can think of to attract Music Man Amplifier fans who will find value in them and use them. If you have friends in the amp world that have searched for these, send them my way! Music Man Amp lovers seem to be proud of their equipment, like me, and want them looking as good as possible! I know that over the years, many of these things have been lost and replaced with some kind of washer. Here's your chance to replace those washers with the proper chassis strap. Simple to install with your existing screws! Note: Fender Chassis Screws are 8-32 x 3.5" with a pointed end and a oval phillips head. I have yet to find any manufacturer that makes any #10-32 over 3" long. (which won't fit.) I guess you can use the fender screws, they are just a little lighter. $30.a set. I would have to charge over 5 times as much to try and recoup my outlay! Buy a set and get rid of those rusty lookin plates on the top of your amp. Buy with confidence 100% feedback since 2002!
