Description: Up for sale is a NEW manufactured barrel recoil spring for the Remington models 8 and 81 rifles. This obsolete spring has not been made for decades. This high quality AMERICAN MADE spring is for the rifles chambered in 35 Remington and 300 Savage only. It will not fit the rifles in 25,30 and 32 Rem. This spring was made to exact specs so the barrel will “snap back” just the way John Browning intended. Replacing the barrel recoil spring will address poor ejection an sluggish barrel return to battery issues. This recoil spring should be installed by a qualified gunsmith familiar with this operating system. We restore and rebuild Classic and Vintage Firearms.
