New Non-Reverse Firebird "STYLE" Guitar that's been Relic'd (or Age) and modified to resemble a well-used Vintage Non-Reverse Firebird. Solid Mahogany Body and Set Mahogany Neck with a TV Yellow finish that's been distressed showing a dulled finish, finish swirls, dents, dings & chips to replicate age & playwear from years of use. "ALL" the Hardware has been aged down to every single screw! These are cosmetic only modifications that doesn't affect playability.ALL the Electronics have been upgraded from the originals. Has a pair of P90 Soap-Bar Single-Coil Pickups from an Epiphone by Gibson Les Paul Special that sound great in this Guitar! I've used these Pickups in quite a few Firebird, Les Paul Special & SG Special style Guitars I've modified. They have strong output, clarity and bite. Also upgraded with new full-size 500K Pots. Volume and Tone controls for each Pickup and 3-way Selector Switch. Iconic Firebird logo on the aged Pickguard, Black Reflector (silver-top) Bell Knobs with vintage style pointers added for the vintage appearance. The aged Compensated Wrap-Around Bridge adjusted to the correct angle for excellent intonation.Has a SET Mahogany Neck with a 22 medium/jumbo Fret EBONY Fretboard. 24.75" scale, 1-11/16" nut-width. To further improve playability the Fretboard was buffed, conditioned with lemon-oil, then thoroughly buffed again to make the Ebony even smoother and plays with ease! Frets have been polished and Fret ends rounded for a comfortable broke-in feel. *Note that the Fretboard wasn't distressed for best playability. Back of the Neck was lightly sanded with a very fine grit to remove a bit of the gloss clear-coat, then thoroughly buffed. *Back of the Neck wasn't distressed either for ease of plyability. There aren't any dents or dings. It's extremely smooth, fast and plays fantastic! Origianl Tuners changed to vintage style Inline-Tuners, that have been aged. NOTE: A self sticking vinyl decal for the Truss-Rod Cover is included, if you choose to apply it (see last photo).Strung up with a fresh set of quality D'Addario 10-46 Strings (the Brand most Pros use & the only Strings I use) and a complete set-up done, including: truss-rod relief, comfortable low action & pickup heights. Really wonderful playing & sounding Guitar that looks like a heavily gigged Vintage Bird and is an affordable alternative! *The upgrading of the Electronics, plus the massaging done to the Frets, Fretboard & back of the Neck, this Guitar rivals in playability to similar or more expensively priced models. Time, effort & attention to detail has been put into playability that manufacturers do to their higher-end Guitars, that of course are more expensive due to the labor costs involved. Read my Seller Feedback.Like most of my Relic Guitars, the intention was to make it look like an "under the bed find" of an old, well used Vintage Guitar. If you like the popular Relic look, I believe you'll LOVE this vintage looking Firebird! Has a Vintage/Retro appearance like it's been played & gigged for years! Weighs 7.6 pounds. NO CASE. * FREE SHIPPING! **Use the Zoom feature and look closely at every inch the Relic details. **Note that any white spots or shadows seen in pictures are only reflections or glare from lighting. *I've been an eBay Member since 1999 (25 years!) and have sold NUMEROUS Guitars & other Gear on eBay over the years and have a 5-Star 100% Feedback Rating. I'm not a store or shop, just a retired Guy that LOVES Guitars and have worked on them for over 30 years. Since I retired, I upgrade, modify, customize, Relic and sell Guitars as a Hobby to keep busy. I consider Guitars to be "playable Art", with the playability of the Neck & Set-Up of course being key. I'm not a professional Luthier, but well above an amateur & I'm "extremely meticulous"! If you're looking for this type of Guitar, think about if other Sellers work on Guitars (most don't) and know how to set them up. Is the Neck straight, Truss-Rod functional, Fretboard clean? Are the Frets oxidized needing cleaned & polished, have dead frets or buzz that requires the frets to be leveled? Will the Strings be rusty or dead, needing a new set? And if it's a used Guitar, I'm sure you've found they usually arrive dusty, needing cleaned and require major tweaking just to be playable! Not this one! Also, will other Seller's description be as thorough as mine? Remember that you get what you pay for! This being said, I must also note: The Neck is perfectly straight, and it plays great, but I can't predict how you like your Guitar set up, so be advised that adjustments or a set-up to your preference "may" be required, and if you can't do it yourself, the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Also note that Guitars are made of Wood, and when in transit to you, temperature changes and/or Delivery Service Handling can affect my initial set-up, that again may require adjustments on your end. This is true of ANY Guitar shipped from an individual or from online Big-Box Stores. Please save me as a Seller as I frequently list Guitars & Basses and always have some interesting projects in the works, including more "Relic" Guitars.*** Please check my other Guitar listings.
