It's worth mentioning these 2268s are factory seconds, but they don't seem to have any considerable flaws. Red Wing's factory seconds are boots originally sold at discounted price for having some flaw, or flaws. Such flaws can range from something minor, such as a welt that has triple stitching in a spot that should have double, to something major, such as a distinct color difference between the boots. Factory seconds can be identified by a small hole that's punched into each of the tongues or, in this case, on upper back end of the shaft. Though factory seconds may have flaws that are aesthetic, their built-in quality or durability shouldn't be affected by such flaws.
