Description: Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Marshallton, Delaware 1722 In 1722 the few Presbyterians in this neighborhood gathered together into what was later known as McKennan's Church or Red Clay Creek as it is called today. They erected their first building in 1761, one hundred yards north of the present building. the need of a larger House of Worship became evident in 1853 and the present-day lecture room was dedicated the same year. On May 11, 1854, the church itself was completed. In 1949 the Sanctuary and Church School were enlarged. Again in 1955 another addition to the Church School was completed. By the Grace of Our Heavenly Father this church has gone forward for over two hundred and twenty-five years of growth and service.
