The cord, I later realized, had dry-rotted from age, which caused it to break when I cleaned the neck of the bottle. I did not open the bottle, nor has it ever been opened as the cord was still attached when I first received it. The volume is not indicated as I can find, but bottle measures a full 5 inches tall, and two inches thick at it's thickest point. I would guess it held at least two ounces, maybe more.
