Description: This original OCTOBER 1948 ISSUE OF "FAMOUS FANTASTIC MYSTERIES" MAGAZINE (VOL 10 # 1) features a cover illustration for the KASPA OF THE LIONS story "THE LION'S WAY" by LAWRENCE STERNE STEVENS. The interior story "THE WOMEN" was written by RAY BRADBURY and illustrated by VIRGIL FINLAY. The square-bound pulp magazine is approximately 7" wide and 9 1/4" tall. See attached photos for a closer look. The pulp is complete and the pages are not brittle. The covers have typical chipping of the overhang, and there is piece missing from the lower right corner. Faint red pencil notes on cover. General signs of use (but not abuse) on the covers. Colors are vivid. 2" spine split at top of BACK COVER. The book has not been repaired or retouched.
