Description: Offering a rare vintage mid-50's PHILIPS EL6020 Dynamic Microphone, tested, working, with cable and desk stand. First, a little background on this impressive company; Philips got it's start way back in 1891 in The Netherlands. The company initially manufactured carbon filament incandescent lamps, evolving into a variety of electronic products, namely in X-ray and broadcasting technology. They manufactured the first audio cassette player (1963), first portable the boom box (1966), first video recorder (VCR) (1971) and first LaserDisc (1978). Now they are a world leading producer of medical equipment. Ok, back to the mic. This Philips EL6020 is an omnidirectional dynamic microphone, showing some mild wear, but 100% ORIGINAL, with the original factory dynamic element, tested and working. It's mounted to a vintage Altec desk stand and new 5' cable ending with a 1/4" male phono plug. (We can swap that for a XLR male phono plug if you prefer.) Has a working on-off switch, and responds nicely with strong output and mid-rangy audio profile. (Audio sample provided upon request.) The pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly. ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. ** We also do combined shipping ** WE BUY YOUR OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY UPDATED REGULARLY **** Click on my eBay username for details. (Text or call.) With a life-long career in major market broadcast radio in the imaging/audio production field, I continue to buy, sell, collect and restore vintage microphones, primarily from the 1930's through the 1970's.
