Description: Rare Wonderful Vintage Half Size Cedar Chest 22” Long with Gold Heart Lock & Key. Overall it measures 10 3/4" wide, 22" long (or 23" long counting the 2 wooden handles), 12 1/4" high closed. The interior fits about 10" x 21 1/2" and 9" high. It weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces. The bottom has a stamp label Child Life (magazine) Seal of Approval. I could not find another one this size listed anywhere past or present, most are well over 40" long or the small jewelry boxes less than 12" long. This is right about 1/2 normal size. Fine solid sturdy complete condition with no damage noted, the metal strapping has some age discoloration - see detailed photos. The key works fine in the lock. Genuine older vintage cedar chest. This does not have the automatic lock in the front so it is no danger to children.
