Louis Vuitton and French Co. collaborated in order to help meet overwhelming demand in the United States....this occurred from about 1970 through the 1990's. (Tag pictured) Pieces were available through prestigious retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus along with a few other luxury luggage boutiques - some pieces were even private labeled - this one was not, however. Here are the details! This bag is a charmer - in lovely condition, but not as new! Just the correct amount of charm and patina! The LV Monogram is recognized all over the world as a symbol of luxury....it is very vivid and crisp - looks gorgeous! The original Talon zip is zippy....Tucky portion works perfectly - key went missing....and there is about a 1" separation at one end - no function lost. All leather presents beautifully as well...rubs and scuffs scattered as expected on pre-loved 50 year + vintage! This is a different leather than LV uses today - it does not water spot like the Vachetta and may be polished if need be. . The rolled leather handles feel great in your hand. No shoulder strap present - but one can easily be added to the large strong D rings on either side. There is a super handy flap pocket on the front side....the perfect place to keep travel agenda's, tickets or electronics handy! There is a slip pocket behind that!! . French Company pieces often included a Monogram Patch on the front....this one is ready for your initials if you choose! Inside is lined in a brown textile...looks great. No odors. A single compartment. Measures 18 x 10 x 8" approx. Pieces such as this are a joy to carry and travel with. Looks great on you arm! Will be a great addition to your luxury luggage ensemble!
