Description: Vintage Hopi Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet by master silversmith GRACILDA SAUFKIE This bracelet is a nice heavy overlay by award-winning Hopi Silversmith GRACILDA SAUFKIE of the Fog clan and from Shungopavi.This piece came from an estate sale of an avid Hopi collector. Gracilda Saufkie's beautiful Hopi overlay sterling silver work is recognized in museums world wide and mentioned in may publications such as Barton Wrights "Hallmarks of the Southwest", as pictured. From Brown's Trading PostGriselda is the wife of Lawrence Saufkie. She is not only a excellent silversmith, but is known for her wonderful basketry. She began making jewelry in the 1960's and in 2008 was awarded the SWAIA lifetime Achievement Award and in 1998 became one of Arizona's Indian Living Treasures. She was a multi award winner also.
