Description: Vintage 1950s Body Guard Firefighter Jacket. I am estimating the age from similar items. No tag, the tag is in the missing liner. This is a heavy canvas jacket with metal clips over metal buttons, (one has some corrosion as pictured). I think it a size 42, I a 6' 200 pounds and it fits me tight in the shoulders. Great jacket that will last many years in the elements. It weighs almost 5 pounds, Measures about 39" long from top of collar to the bottom and 20" across the shoulders. Arm length is about 24". This vintage firefighter jacket from the ~1950s is a rare find for any collector. With a black canvas material, it has a strong and sturdy look.
